2022 Annual Report of the Atherton Police Department

A message from Atherton Police Chief Steven D. McCulley:

Dear Resident,

I am pleased to present to you the annual report of the Atherton Department of Police.  As your law enforcement agency, our mission is to ensure the safety and security of our community through effective crime prevention, enforcement of laws, and community engagement.

This report provides a comprehensive overview of the activities and accomplishments of your department over the past year.  It includes statistics on crime rates, arrests, and citations, as well as details on department initiatives, community outreach efforts, and training programs for our officers.

We are proud of the progress we have made in maintaining and improving public safety in our community.  As an example, residential burglaries were reduced to 16 in 2022, compared to 45 in 2021.   Our officers work tirelessly to address the challenges facing our city and to build stronger relationships with the people we serve.

We hope that this report will provide you with valuable insights into the work we do and the impact we have on our community.  We welcome any feedback or questions you may have, and we look forward to continuing our partnership in ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.

Thank you for your continued support!

Sincerely,

Steven D McCulley

Chief of Police
