Did You Know?

This week, we celebrated School Resource Officer Day! We would like to thank our School Resource Officer (SRO) Dimitri Andruha and celebrate National SRO day today!

SROs are law enforcement officers specifically trained to work within schools, often adopting community-oriented policing approaches.

Created in 2022, the designated SRO Appreciation Day aims to acknowledge their role in "bridging gaps between law enforcement and youth and to keep schools safe."

Unique within law enforcement, SROs serve as mentors, educators, and law enforcement officers, supporting both students and communities.

Huge thank you to Officer Andruha for dedicating himself to our young people at our 9 schools here in Atherton.  We appreciate your tireless efforts and the example you set for our students!
