Atherton Summer Events

The Town of Atherton hosts concerts and movies each year in the summer months. This year are are excited to announce two (2) new bands to perform and a popular returning performer. Concerts typically begin around 6:00 PM and movies begin at sundown, which typically occurs at approximately 7:30 PM. Concerts and movies will be held at Holbrook-Palmer Park on the Main Lawn. This year we are exited to announce a matinee movie being shown in the Council Chambers at 4:00 PM.

June

Concert: Thursday, June 19 - The Freshmakers
Movie: Friday, June 27 - Wicked (movies begin at sundown, approx. 7:30 PM)

July

Thursday, June 17 - Take 2 Dance Band
Movie: Friday, July 25 - The Wizard of Oz (original version)

** We will be showing a matinee version in Council Chambers at 4:00 PM**

August

Thursday, August 21 - Mercy and the Heartbeats

EARTH DAY 2024

Earth Day in Atherton will take place on Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 11:00 AM - 3:00PM at Holbrook-Palmer Park. We will have plenty of family-friendly activities, food trucks with sustainable vegan and vegetarian options available for purchase. This years theme is Protect Our Species. We strongly recommend that visitors plan to walk or bike to the park. Parking will be extremely limited. We plan to offer a special treat for the first 50 visitors that walk or ride their bikes.

CalWater Rebates

CalWater offers a variety of options for rebates to help you conserve water use at your home. There are options to replace irrigation controllers, washing machines and more.

Leaf Blower Rebates

Atherton residents can still apply for a rebate to purchase electric leaf blowers or related equipment up to $250.00.

How to Get the Rebate?

1. Purchase an electric leaf blower and any associated battery and charger from any retailer. You can choose any brand or model that suits your needs and budget.

2. Fill out the rebate application form online or download a printable version You will need to provide proof of purchase and residency in Atherton.

Proof of purchase: A copy of your receipt – if the total cost is less than $250, you will be reimbursed for the equipment.

Proof of residency: A copy of a photo identification with Atherton address by email or you may come in and show your ID card during business hours (Monday through Friday – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM). Copies of IDs will not be retained and will only be used to verify Atherton addresses.

3. Submit the filled-out application form and the supporting documents by filling out an electronic form or by dropping off or mailing the printed application to 80 Fair Oaks Lane, Atherton, CA 94027.

Did You Know?

The Town of Atherton sends out an annual notice for residents to renew their alarm permits.

If you maintain an alarm at your residence, an alarm permit is required. The permit is required irrespective of whether your alarm is monitored by the Police Department or via a third-party vendor. If this is your first time registering your alarm system, the fee is $100. Annually thereafter, the fee is $50. For details, refer to the Town's Alarm Systems Ordinance 8.04.
