Atherton Children Library Update

The Town of Atherton has released a new bid for Atherton Children's Garden Project. To learn more about the how to bid for the project click here.

The scope of work consists of site, landscape and accessibility improvements including tree protection, unit paving, an accessible wood ramp with railings and custom infill panels, accessible wood fiber surfacing and edging, installation of whole wood products, wood fences with wire mesh infill panels, a property line fence, metal gates and railings, a wood frame play structure and deck connection, wood benches, wood steps, various custom garden elements including a willow hut and log benches, site furnishings, associated concrete curbs and footings, drip irrigation system installation and connection to the existing system, planting bed preparation and installation of planting.

San Mateo County Podcast 


The County launched a new monthly podcast, Open Mike, hosted by County Executive Mike Callagy. Mike will sit down with a subject matter expert to provide a look inside the County of San Mateo. 


In Episode One, Mike spoke with County Parks Director Nicholas Calderon at Edgewood Park to explore how our parks continue to evolve to meet the needs of every visitor.

Wildfire Mitigation Program Webinar

On Tuesday, August 26, at 7:00pm, join us for a webinar where we'll be discussing our efforts to to reduce wildfire risk, improve fire suppression capabilities, and improve forest health over 2,750 acres within the wildland-urban interface.
